City/Empower New Haven Fa�ade Improvement Program (Success Stories)

The Empowerment Zone (EZ) funding has been fully funded allocated to appropriate projects in EZ neighborhoods. In 2008, 31 projects totaling $1.84 Million. As of December 31, 2008, 11 completed (8 � EZ); 19 projects in progress ( 7 in EZ neighborhoods) totaling $1.03 Million. In 2008, the completed projects leveraged $383,757 with the remaining projects in progress leveraging an additional $540,697 for a grand total of $924,454 just over 50% the total cost of the facades.
